Webinar: Research Results on Dry Farmed Vineyards
This webinar presents the research results of investigations of soil properties and management practices on water storage and overall soil function in dry farmed vineyards across Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. Topic areas include soil organic carbon storage, vine water status, evapotranspiration and grower decision-making on dry farmed versus irrigated vineyards. A cost-of-production budget and economic analyses demonstrates implications and benefits of dry farming to help growers understand the environmental and economic tradeoffs of this practice.
